About my libraryMy library mostly contains books I've read since November 2007. I have not entered books I own but have not read yet (they're waiting patiently for their turn and only get cranky with me when I buy more), books on my TBR list, or books I have read but do not own. Books I own and have read are special to me so I feel they belong here just by themselves. The only exception to this is books tagged "999 Challenge", which I may enter as I'm reading them but before I've finished.

Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reading my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like my novel since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

How's it going?
It's been really hot here in Sydney (thank God for a bit of rain last night)
What have you been reading lately?
I've got a few books going at the moment, I can't seem to stick to just 1 lately (a little bit restless) but I'm really enjoying the Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society. Really quite entertaining.

I know you have your nine for gothic, but "The Woman in White" or "The Moonstone" by Wilkie Collins would fit well...also, Susan Hill's "The Woman in Black" is a more recent gothic. That topic is so evocative--you'll only be able to read them, however, on rainy winter nights.

Thanks for accepting my friend request.
When did you move from London to Brisbane? Do you like the change?
I went up to Brissy in Feb this year (just a holiday thing) and I found it kinda strange, he he he... guess I'm just used to Sydney. Have you been down here?

Infinite Jest is one I haven't gotten around to yet. I was thinking of tackling it recently, but I decided in favor of Proust. So maybe IJ will be a project for next year--The Broom certainly left me wanting more.
