About meHow y'all doing???
I am Ken and I live in the Columbia, South Carolina area. I am married with 2 children, and work in the computer programming industry for a health insurance company. I also have a part-time position as a church organist for a local Presbyterian Church.
My main hobby is reading, as well as music. I also enjoy collecting signed modern first editions.
The picture on my profile is one taken back in 1995 when I had the fortune of meeting one of my favorite authors, Helene Hanff. She was very cordial and kind to allow me to spend approximately an hour visiting her while on a long weekend trip to NYC.

I hope The Night Battles lives up to your expectations! I'm reluctant to say much more right now, as I don't want to influence your opinion. We'll talk after you've had your say.
Thank you so much for your interest and enthusiasm!
Best,

Thank you for the note, and for the excellent review. I'm very pleased you enjoyed Mixed Blood -- it is really exciting and gratifying to get that kind of response. Regarding the below-the-belt stuff: blame Rudi Barnard, not me! The characters talk, I write . . .
I have recently completed my second novel, called "Wake Up Dead", another stand-alone thriller set in Cape Town. More messed-up people in bad situations. It'll be unleashed on the world in early 2010.
Warmest regards
Roger Smith
