Something interesting I've noticed: the people who share an interest in the ben waugh books who I find have interesting libraries, are also interested in ants. As are the writers that we find interesting. The Holldobler and Wilson book (Journey to the Ants) is great (despite a bad title.) And, I found out from ben w. that Hans Heinz Ewers wrote a book that was published in translation in the 1920s or so about ants that is affordable (meaning $25 or so.) I haven't gotten around to picking it up yet...
