btw, i find it really exciting that you are studying janette turner hospital - she is, in my opinion, one of australia's greatest, and most underrated writers. (i live in the same area where a lot of her books are set, which makes things exciting also). she manages to avoid that cultural locality cringe that a lot of australian writers are plagued with, while creating intensely beautiful prose, intricate story lines, and... oh... i love her very much. i find it delightful that she is appreciated internationally.
