So many libraries have Patricia Cornwell's THE BODY FARM. It must be one of her bestselling titles. I liked her earlier books, but I haven't kept up with the series. The Matt Scudder books by Mr. Block are more interesting to me than his Tanner or Bernie the Thief books. I'm not familiar with the Jane Whitfield books by Thomas Perry. I strong female protags. My P.I. Frank Johnson (PELHAM FELL HERE) has been compared to Lee Child's Jack Reacher. Thanks for the Perry suggestion.
