About meHi. My name is Gordon and I'm a bibliophile. The first step is admitting you have a problem. The second step is... um, well screw the next step, I don't want to get better.
My reviews are intended to overview the scope of a book rather than critique the specifics of it. I do this because one of the great things about LibraryThing is searching other libraries of similar tastes to discover new volumes in my areas of interest. With many books available on a given subject I've always desired a way to find the one difinitive work on that topic. LibraryThing is a huge step to that goal and I hope my short reviews help in some small way.

All the books I list I have read, and for a majority of them I have posted comments. I do do a monthly letter on what I have read the previous month. If you do such could I get on your mailing list?
