I'm interested in different ways of thinking and how people came to think the way they do, i.e.
- biological factors
- culture
- personality
- education
- experiences
- etc.

About my librarySo my library includes books about psychology, anthropology, religions and religious experiences, bible commentaries, church history, and missions.

Fiction-wise, I mostly read science fiction and fantasy.

There are also lots of Christian books. Much of the Christian fiction belongs to my wife.

Library Display Style:
I've added English and German canonical titles to Common Knowledge, for many books available in both languages. Please use the "suggested display style" if you'd like to see this information.

Category Tags:
α - Christian books
β - Social sciences
γ - History and religions
δ - Religious experiences
ε - Fiction

θ - Natural sciences
η - Biographical

My tags are in German, as are about 3/4 of my books. Some special tags: Books I want to read. Recommended books.

Collections:
All the Star Trek books are in a separate collection because I've mostly left the trekiverse, and don't want to get any recommendations based on these books. Most non-obvious collections are subcategories of my Wishlist, e.g. A for high priority.

Errors:
I'm interested in improving my catalog, as well as my English language skills. If you find any errors, whether in my library data, or in my messages, please tell me.

Fixed - thanks for the note!

While searching for an unabridged copy of War on the Saints to buy, I stumbled on the Library Thing site. I read the one and only review that was posted (hnau)and found it compelling. Now I wonder if the alleged unabridged copies I have purchased in the past, were in fact, the originals. I sincerely hope that hnau receives my message of appreciation for his/her comments. I do not know the German language but it appears that hnau has an interpreter. My sister is headed for Germany w/in the next few months so I am curious which town he/she resides. Is there any way to let me know whether hnua receives my message and whether they get a translation? I do know someone that is fluent in German if that would help. I hate to think that someone took the time, interest and concern to share a comment such as this, only to have it's author feel it was unnoticed and/or disregarded. I thoroughly appreciate what was posted and am very thankful.
Best and kindest regards,
Kim

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. My mother and brother both live in Munich -- wonderful place!
