Hi, Kortge - Was reading your recent review of Conversations w/ Jim Harrison and see you're app a fan. Jim grew up here in Reed City. Since he's several years older than I and moved away when he was 12 or 13, I didn't know him, but have met him a few times since. I haven't been real crazy about many of his recent books, but did enjoy The English Major - made me laugh. I still think his best novel is Farmer. I've followed his work for nearly forty years, since reading his first novel, Wolf, which mentions Reed City in the first line. I was a grad student at CMU when I read that, and was just astounded that Reed City was mentioned in a real book. But in the past several years I've been doing what I can to put Reed City on the literary map. Four books and counting. (See RatholeBooks.com .) I figure from your email address you might be a Michigan animal yourself. - Tim
Hello,
I am a writer of Western fiction and I'm looking for folks who may be interested in things of the west like I am. I live in NM and enjoy hiking and exploring all over the southwest.
Feel free to add me as a friend if you want.
Thanks,
Jon.
Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Paris Trout, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also southern and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
