Hi, I just joined this site. I noticed that you're a poetry fan. Have you read Unexpected Light? Here's a link: http://www.cechaffin.com
G'day Lynn,

I didn't know about Hofstadter's two other books. Thanks for the heads-up!

Hello Lynn - thanks for dropping a line. Enjoying the summer? Europe is a block of ice. Even so still bright in sunny Portugal.

Bilingualism and the Indian Mutiny - that's an odd set of eclectic shared interest. Joy of Cooking from graduate work in the US too?

Lynn,

I'm awfully sorry but I don't know anywhere to find a copy of that DVD. If you read Chinese or know someone who does, perhaps a search at dangdang.com or joyo.com (joyo is actually a subsidiary of Amazon) could turn up something. But if it is more than a few years old your chances may be slim. I wish I could be of more help in your search. Best of luck. Charles
