The saga of Georgia Nicholson continues and it's fab fabby marvy and yummy scrumboes. A real treat to read at any age, and wonderful to look forward to in between dense, intellectual material. ( )

#4 in the Georgia Nicolson series. I had thought after reading #3 a while ago that I might give up on the series, but I picked up this one & am now ready to dive into the rest again. Silly, fluffy, teen stuff, but it's funny. And I can't help but want to know what's going to happen next....! ( )

The books in this hilarious series (American titles):

Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging
On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex-God
Knocked Out by My Nunga Nungas
Dancing in My Nuddy Pants
Away Laughing on a Fast Camel
Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers
Startled by His Furry Shorts
Love is a Many Trousered Thing
? (It's the series that never ends!)

Georgia Nicolson is a self-absorbed, British teenager who keeps a diary detailing her life in all its glorious angst(think Bridget Jones for teens). Her parents are mad and her friends just do not realize that Georgia is indeed the center of the known universe. She's got a cat who is half Scottish wildcat and a little sister who is only partially potty-trained. Georgia thinks about boys constantly and treats them kind of like Lays potato chips (you can't kiss just one).

She accidentally shaves off her eyebrows, goes to a party dressed as a stuffed olive, and has problems with nipple control. Nevertheless, she manages to attract the attention of Robbie the Sex-God, Dave the Laugh (who coins many funny phrases like piddly-diddly department and away laughing on a fast camel), and Masimo the Dreamboat. Georgia suffers from a severe case of what Dave the Laugh calls "the Cosmic Horn" and can't seem to settle down with just one boyfriend.

Georgia gets herself into one hilarious predicament after another. While this series isn't exactly classic literature, I dare you to read it without laughing out loud. ( )

The fourth book in the series about Georgia Nicolson is a lot more enjoyable than the third and made me want to read the rest of the series again. While I got a bit tired of Georgia's whining during the third book, this one is a lot better and seems to have a bit more 'plot' to it.
At the start of the series I was all for the 'Sex God' as Georgia's boyfriend. From the second book on however, I felt that the age difference was maybe a bit too much, especially with Georgia not acting all that mature. The way she acts and the fact that she supposedly has boys waiting in line for her to snog her and being in love with two boys at once are really things I can't relate to or remember from my teen years - and those weren't all that long ago. Maybe it makes me enjoy the books more though, just reading about all the sillyness.
During this book I kept feeling that she should wake up and see Dave's the one already, but I guess we have to wait at least a few more books until she may or may not realise that. ( )

The fourth in the Georgia Nicholson series and she’s still as crazy as ever. This time around she’s dealing with having snogged Dave the Laugh and seeing him with his girlfriend every where. I’m starting to like Jas more than Georgia at this time because she acts more like an adult.

But it is a YA novel and they do have their quite hilarious moments. I have one more sitting at home and then I’ll probably take a nice long break from Georgia and see her in the new year.

The sex god's friends think I'm a bit weird. I don't know why. I've always been the height of sophisticoaity around them.

Amazon.com Book Description (ISBN 0060097469, Hardcover)

Once more I am beyond the Valley of the Confused and treading lightly in the Universe of the Huge Red Bottom. What is the matter with me? I love the Sex God and he is my one and only, but try telling that to my lips.

Georgia has finally put her red-bottomosity to rest and chosen Robbie the Sex God over Dave the Laugh. After all, with the Sex God she'll be a pop-star girlfriend and go on tour! Besides, Dave the Laugh is now dating her friend Ellen (although that didn't stop Georgia from snogging him at a party ... ).

But when the Sex God is never around and Dave the Laugh breaks up with Ellen, Georgia doesn't know what to think! Is she doomed to be a pop-star widow, or will she take her own bottom firmly in hand and blow her cosmic horn? And will her cat, Angus (the size of a small Labrador, only mad), ever get over the shame of having his trouser snake addendums snipped? As always, in Georgia's life, nothing ever turns out as planned!
