This is a very cute story with a leading character (Lucy Valentine) I liked. It's exactly what you'd want in a light romance - fun fluff.

If you're looking for a light read, this is definitely a good choice. If you pick it up before a long flight, be sure to have a backup for when you finish this book, though.

I'll probably pick up the next book in the series when it's released. I guess I'll have to wait a while, though, since this book hasn't been released yet. ( )

Lucy was a memorable character with a load of depth and a wicked sense of humor. Actually, all of the characters had this depth and the banter kept the pace of the book moving along. Sadly, Thoreau had more depth than Sean. It is great to be a mystery, but I was still a little worried about Lucy starting a relationship with such a one-dimensional guy. Either he is one dimensional or he is hiding a load of baggage.

Lucy's parents, grandmother, and not to mention the family chauffer story lines made you want to come back for more. This is an author that I would recommend to other paranormal romance friends. This author is a great alternative to some of the heavier horror and sexual paranormal romance writers. The edgier writing is my favorite, but I will be adding Ms. Weber to my "have to read" list.

I was pleasantly surprised that Lucy was the series vs her friends and the story ending in a trilogy. I like this angle also, I was just surprised. Hopefully, Sean's character will fill out over the next books otherwise I hope Lucy gets conflicted over another guy and kicks him to the curb. Sorry, Sean.

I cannot wait to find out who Preston's lost love maybe and I secretly believe Lucy's parents do love one another! ( )

An enjoyable, fun book. Lucy Valentine is a well-constructed character who comes across as real and likable. Webber's writing style is nicely paced, funny, and creative. I absolutely look forward to the next book in this series.

My one complaint is that Sean didn't do much for me; he was a decent enough character, but he just didn't come off the pages as well as some others. I was much more interested in Aiden, so I hope we'll see more of him in the future. ( )

This is a first novel in a series, and it shows in occasionally clunky wording, obvious plot set-ups for future stories, and so on. The plot is not unpredictable, and is very much in the mould of other paranormal romances. Nevertheless, I found it an enjoyable light read and a good time. It's sprinkled with cute guys, adorable characters, amusing pets, and amusing situations which mean that even though it's not the most original of stories, it manages to delight.

Lucy Valentine is an exceptionally charming character - the daughter of a matchmaker, possessed of a psychic gift that she doesn't think is very useful at all. Most of all, she's the rarest of romance characters - the likable, mostly-normal girl. Taking over her father's business while he's away for two weeks recovering from a scandal and a heart attack, she finds herself trying to help a client by solving an old murder. With the help of hot private detective Sean Donahue, she uses her talent at finding things to track down a missing kid along the way. Even though she doesn't have the family's matchmaking talent, she accidentally helps her best friends Marisol and Em find love anyway. If you like Charmaine Harris and Stephanie Plum, this is a book you're likely to enjoy. ( )

This was an Early Reviewer book, and I am happy to have gotten it. A fun, and quick read. I sat down to read just a few pages and then was hooked. Finished it and found myself wondering when the next book was due out. Looking forward to reading more about all these characters! ( )
